Mario and Christoph, former members of the band Alpentrio Tirol, will be presenting the 8th Mountain Crystal Festival in Seefeld, a multi-day event to delight all fans of folk music and easy listening. With a wide spectrum of musical treats and a high-calibre line-up of artists, audiences can be sure of an unforgettable musical experience amid a fantastic ambience.
Savoury or sweet, fruity and crispy: the Seefeld restauranteurs present this classic Austrian speciality in a variety of forms. Alongside the widest choice of strudels – also available as smaller ‘taster’ portions – authentic folk music is on offer (from 11 am, different music groups). A specially-created children’s programme (1 - 6 pm) makes this event a summer ‘taste sensation’ for all the family.
Dream of other worlds of wonder and visualise the new: the first Sunday in August sees the Seefeld pedestrian zone turning into a platform for colourful street art. Iron John puts his muscles on display, a one-man band plays the lively hits, and street artists display their skills in rope-balancing, juggling, stick manipulation and much more. Didgeridoos buzz and pantomime artists enchant with their performances. The village square hosts a large circus tent with creative areas for the youngest.
For years now the 14th August 2018 is a not-to-be-missed date for all lifestyle lovers and fashionistas in Seefeld. Organised by Seefeld’s retailers, the event showcases the very latest styles from Milan, Paris and London, and wows spectators with outfits ranging from hip to extravagant. During the White Night event, the entire pedestrian zone in Seefeld is transformed into a giant runway. The glamorous backdrop ensures a unique fashion festival complete with a party dress code - simply white!
„Karwendelmarsch“ long distance hike. Along a 52 km route to Pertisau or a 35 km route to Eng, the max. 2.500 participants can take the beauty of the Alpenpark Karwendel. To allow ambitious hikers, Nordic walkers and runners to enjoy the impressive beauty of Karwendel Alpine Nature Park, Olympiaregion Seefeld is organising the now legendary Karwendel March together with the Vitalregion Achensee region. And in the high summer of 2018, the regions will once again be inviting participants to take part in a long distance march together. To do so, hikers will need to conquer paths leading to 2,281 metres in altitude (uphill).
This year once again, for the 21st time, Seefeld’s business community is organising the “Altes Handwerk Tirol” event, a festival of traditional Tyrolean handcrafts. The guiding principle behind the event has remained the same since its very beginning, namely “Authenticity & Originality”. As usual, on the second weekend in September, craftsmen and women dedicated to keeping alive their traditional skills will convene in Seefeld and enthral visitors by giving them the chance to watch the “old masters of their craft” at work.
